Our Story

How it all started...

In the foothills of the Brushy Mountains of Iredell County, between the fork of Rocky Creek and the South Yadkin River, stands a Baptist Church with the name Hebron. The church was founded on November 7, 1897 with sixteen charter members to provide a place of worship and ministry for the residents of Northern Iredell County.

Expanding the vision...

Hebron grew exponentially from her humble beginnings in 1897 to a membership of over three hundred by 1902 when the first sanctuary was built. That building still stands, though now covered with a brick veneer. For over 125 years now Hebron has impacted generations for Christ in our community and world with the good news of the Gospel.

Where we are headed...

The vision of that little band of sixteen original members still guides us today. At Hebron, we cherish our history and heritage, but we also look forward by faith to all that God has in store for His church. Today, Hebron is deeply and aggressively invested in reaching this and future generations with the hope of the Gospel. We look forward to all that God has in store as we prayerfully forge ahead as laborers in His harvest.
